Terms and Conditions

3.1 Accurate Information

You agree to provide accurate, complete, and truthful information when creating your account and profile, and to keep that information current and up to date at all times. This includes, but is not limited to, your name, age, photographs, marital status, and contact details.

You must not create a profile on behalf of another person without their explicit consent, and you must not misrepresent your identity, background, or intentions in any way.

3.2 One Account Per Person

You are permitted to hold only one active account on the Platform at any given time. Creating multiple accounts is strictly prohibited and will result in the termination of all associated accounts.

3.3 Account Security

You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at abuse@apidenna.com if you suspect any unauthorised access to or use of your account.

Apidenna will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to safeguard your account credentials.

3.4 Identity Verification

You agree to complete the identity verification process as required by the Platform. Verification is carried out by a trained member of our human verification team who reviews your submitted National Identity Card (NIC) or equivalent government-issued identification. Your identity document is automatically deleted from our systems upon completion of verification.

Providing false, altered, or fraudulent identity documents is a serious breach of these Terms and may be referred to the relevant law enforcement authorities.

4.1 Permitted Use

You may use the Platform solely for the purpose of finding a genuine matrimonial match for yourself. You agree to use the Platform in good faith, with respect for other members, and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

4.2 Prohibited Conduct

You must not, under any circumstances:

• Misrepresent your identity — Create a false identity, impersonate any other person (living or deceased), or use another person's images or information without their consent
• Upload fraudulent content — Post fake, manipulated, AI-generated, or deepfake images or false biographical information
• Solicit or scam — Use the Platform for financial solicitation, fraud, scamming, phishing, or any form of financial deception
• Spam — Send unsolicited bulk messages, promotional communications, or chain messages to other members
• Harass or abuse — Engage in harassment, intimidation, threatening behaviour, hate speech, discrimination, or any abusive conduct directed at other members, our team, or any third party
• Distribute harmful content — Upload or share content that is defamatory, obscene, pornographic, violent, racially offensive, or otherwise unlawful
• Circumvent security — Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Platform, other user accounts, or our systems and infrastructure
• Scrape or harvest data — Use bots, scrapers, crawlers, or any automated tool to extract user data, profile information, or content from the Platform
• Commercial exploitation — Use the Platform for commercial purposes, including advertising, promoting goods or services, or soliciting users for any commercial activity
• Screenshot and distribute — Capture and redistribute profiles, photographs, or private messages of other members without their explicit consent
• Reverse engineer — Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise derive source code or technical systems from the Platform
• Facilitate illegal activity — Use the Platform to facilitate, encourage, or participate in any illegal activity under the laws of Sri Lanka, the United Kingdom, or any other applicable jurisdiction

Violation of any prohibited conduct may result in immediate account suspension or permanent termination, removal of content, and referral to law enforcement where appropriate.

5.1 Overview

Apidenna provides an in-platform private messaging service ("Messaging Service") that allows verified members to communicate with one another for the purpose of establishing genuine matrimonial connections. Access to the Messaging Service may be subject to your subscription tier.

5.2 Permitted Messaging

The Messaging Service is provided exclusively for good-faith, respectful communication between members with a genuine interest in matrimonial connection. You may use the Messaging Service to:

• Introduce yourself and learn more about another member
• Exchange information relevant to assessing compatibility
• Arrange introductions with family members where mutually agreed
• Communicate in a manner consistent with the values and purpose of the Platform

5.3 Prohibited Messaging Conduct

The following conduct within the Messaging Service is strictly prohibited:

• Solicitation and scamming — Requesting money, financial assistance, gifts, or investment from other members under any circumstances
• Spam messaging — Sending repetitive, bulk, or copy-paste messages to multiple members simultaneously
• Harassment — Sending unwanted, persistent, threatening, or abusive messages after a member has clearly indicated they do not wish to communicate
• Explicit or sexual content — Sharing sexually explicit messages, images, or links of any nature
• Sharing personal contact details unsolicited — Pressuring members to move communication to external platforms or sharing personal phone numbers, social media handles, or email addresses in an aggressive or manipulative manner
• Phishing and deception — Sending links designed to collect personal information, impersonate third-party websites, or mislead the recipient
• Commercial promotion — Using messages to advertise products, services, business opportunities, or third-party platforms
• Hate speech and discrimination — Sending messages that are racist, casteist, sexist, religiously offensive, or otherwise discriminatory
• Sharing third-party content without consent — Forwarding private conversations, photographs, or personal information shared by other members to anyone outside the Platform

5.4 Message Privacy and Monitoring

While we respect user privacy, Apidenna reserves the right to review message content where there is a credible report of abuse, fraud, or a violation of these Terms. Messages may be reviewed by authorised members of our Trust and Safety team for the purposes of:

• Investigating reports of harassment, scamming, or abusive behaviour
• Detecting and preventing fraud, fake accounts, or impersonation
• Complying with lawful requests from law enforcement or regulatory authorities

We do not use message content for advertising purposes or share it with third parties other than as described in our Privacy Policy.

5.5 Reporting Abusive Messages

If you receive a message that you believe violates these Terms, you must report it using the in-app reporting function immediately. Prompt reporting helps us maintain a safe environment for all members. We will investigate all reports and take appropriate action, which may include suspension or permanent removal of the offending account.

5.6 Message Retention

Message data is retained in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Deleted messages may remain on our servers for a limited period for backup and security audit purposes.

5.7 No Guarantee of Message Delivery or Availability

We do not guarantee that the Messaging Service will be available at all times, that messages will be delivered without delay, or that message history will be preserved indefinitely. We are not liable for any loss arising from the unavailability of the Messaging Service or the loss of message data.

6.1 Your Responsibility for Content

You are solely responsible for all content you submit, upload, post, or transmit through the Platform ("User Content"), including profile information, photographs, and messages. By submitting User Content, you represent and warrant that:

• You own the content or have all necessary rights and permissions to submit it
• The content is accurate and does not misrepresent your identity or circumstances
• The content does not infringe the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any third party
• The content does not violate any applicable law or regulation
• The content does not contain images created or manipulated using AI or deepfake technology intended to deceive

6.2 Licence to Apidenna

By submitting User Content, you grant Apidenna.com LTD a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to use, store, display, reproduce, and process your User Content solely for the purposes of operating and improving the Platform and providing the Services to you. This licence terminates when you delete your account, subject to any retention obligations described in the Privacy Policy.

6.3 Image Security and Watermarking

All images uploaded to the Platform are processed with a cryptographically hashed digital signature and platform watermark. This is a security measure and does not constitute ownership of your images by Apidenna.

6.4 Limitation of Liability for User Content

Apidenna is not the publisher or author of User Content. We do not endorse any User Content submitted by members. We are not liable for:

• Inaccurate, false, or misleading information provided by users
• Deepfake or AI-generated images uploaded by users acting in bad faith
• Screenshots or images distributed outside the Platform by other users
• Content that is defamatory, offensive, or harmful that is submitted by a third-party user

Our active moderation efforts are on a best-efforts basis and do not constitute a guarantee that all prohibited content will be detected and removed.

7.1 Subscription Plans

Access to certain features of the Platform requires a paid subscription. Details of available subscription plans, including pricing and included features, are set out on the Platform and may be updated from time to time.

7.2 Automatic Renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. By subscribing, you authorise Apidenna and its payment processor Revolut to charge your payment method on a recurring basis for each renewal period.

You are solely responsible for cancelling your subscription if you do not wish to be charged for a future billing period. Failure to cancel before the renewal date will result in a charge for the next period. Instructions for cancellation are available in your account settings under "Subscription Management".

7.3 Payment Processing

All payments are processed securely by Revolut under the Revolut Merchant API (version 2025-12-04). Apidenna does not store your card number, CVV, bank account details, or any other sensitive payment credentials. Revolut provides end-to-end encrypted payment processing with no intermediaries.

7.4 Refund Policy

Subscription fees are generally non-refundable once a billing period has commenced, except where required by applicable consumer protection law. If you believe you have been charged in error, please contact us at billing@apidenna.com within 14 days of the charge.

7.5 Pricing Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription pricing at any time. Where pricing changes affect your existing subscription, we will provide you with at least 30 days' notice prior to the change taking effect. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date of a price change constitutes your acceptance of the new pricing.

7.6 Free Trials and Promotional Offers

From time to time, we may offer free trial periods or promotional pricing. Unless you cancel before the end of the trial period, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription and you will be charged at the applicable rate.

9.1 Platform Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the Platform, including its design, software, code, features, branding, trademarks, and content produced by Apidenna (excluding User Content), are owned by or licensed to Apidenna.com LTD. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use Apidenna's intellectual property for any purpose other than using the Service in accordance with these Terms.

9.2 User Content Ownership

You retain ownership of User Content that you submit to the Platform, subject to the licence granted to Apidenna under Section 6.2.

9.3 Feedback

If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas regarding the Platform, you grant Apidenna.com LTD a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free licence to use such feedback without restriction or obligation to you.

10.1 No Guarantee of Matches

Apidenna provides a platform for members to connect but does not guarantee that you will find a suitable partner, receive any responses to your profile, or achieve any particular outcome from using the Service.

10.2 "As Is" Service

The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Apidenna disclaims all warranties including, without limitation, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

10.3 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apidenna.com LTD shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform
• Any loss of data, revenue, or opportunity arising from Service interruptions
• The conduct of other members on or off the Platform
• Any harm arising from User Content submitted by third-party users
• Screenshots, photographs, or personal information distributed outside the Platform by other users
• Deepfake or manipulated images uploaded by users
• Impersonation not reported to us or not detectable through reasonable moderation
• Any loss or damage arising from your failure to safeguard your account credentials
• Any loss arising from the discontinuation of the Platform or the unavailability of the Messaging Service

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Platform shall not exceed the total subscription fees paid by you in the three months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

10.4 Third-Party Conduct

Apidenna is not responsible for the actions, behaviour, or intentions of any member or third party connected through the Platform. You are responsible for your own safety when engaging with other members, including when arranging to meet in person. We strongly recommend exercising caution and conducting your own due diligence before meeting any person connected through the Platform.

12.1 Termination by You

You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon deletion, your profile and personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Note that cancellation of your account does not automatically cancel your subscription — you must cancel your subscription separately before deleting your account to avoid further charges.

12.2 Termination by Apidenna

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe that you have:

• Breached any provision of these Terms
• Provided false or misleading information during registration or verification
• Engaged in fraudulent, harmful, or abusive conduct
• Created multiple accounts
• Engaged in any conduct that may bring the Platform into disrepute

12.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to access and use the Platform ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 6, 9, 10, 11, 14, and 15) shall continue to apply.

15.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Apidenna.com LTD with respect to the Platform and supersede all prior agreements, representations, or understandings.

15.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

15.3 No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.

15.4 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. Apidenna.com LTD may assign these Terms or any rights hereunder without restriction.

15.5 Language

These Terms are written in English. In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between an English version and a translated version of these Terms, the English version shall prevail.
